Das bedeutet auch, dass die jüngsten Untersuchungen zum antiken Judentum berücksichtigt werden, da sie für die Interpretation der Position Jesu und der Jesusbewegung innerhalb des Judentums zu völlig neuen Einschätzungen geführt haben. Behandelt wird ferner die Problematisierung der kulturellen Prägung der historischen Jesusfrage als Kind der Aufklärung und damit der westlichen Kultur.
